As a citizen and gun owner, I was shocked at the article, "LMS students sign anti-gun Pledge" (10/27/04, p.A9)[1]. This letter is to expose the anti-gun/anti-rights agenda of The Pledge and the lies being taught to schoolchildren. Word restrictions dictate that I include only a brief summary of my investigation. Anti-gun (anti-2A) activists have been unable to enact laws to stop American citizens from legally owning and carrying guns, loosing in state and federal legislatures, the courts, and with public opinion. So, changing their tactics, anti-gunners invented a fictional "gun violence crisis" and then a "solution" to this "crisis" under the pretext of "anti-violence" and "public health."[2] Their plan is to fill children with anti-gun beliefs, so that when they become voters, they will vote the right to keep and bear arms out of existence. Our children, as captive audiences in the government schools, are being bombarded by the liberal (left-wing brainwashing) machine with this denial of self-defense and utility of weapons.

Pledge endorsers are anti 2A groups that are black listed in the NRA-ILA (National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action) Fact Sheets as actively seeking the destruction of the Second Amendment.

The Pledge endorsers used fake statistics to get S.R.282 "Day of National Concern" passed.[4] A liberal Congress, both Democrats and Republicans, (being pushed with the power of medical, legal and school organizations), under the most anti 2A president this country has ever seen (Clinton) passed Senate Resolution 282, on July 24, 1996. The anti 2A pledge's foundation is based on a nonexistent statistical premise of runaway school violence and uses a false public health/public good theme. His agenda is so far reaching that our government schools have even incorporated student's health books to spread this anti-2A agenda by using nonexistent statistics and lies.[2,5,6,7,8,9]

Pledge endorsers are lying: They DO NOT want to protect schoolchildren from gun violence. If they truly were interested in protecting our children, their agendas as per their own websites and statements, would not be pushing a rabid anti-2A platform. They would be looking at the real statistics but that will not help them in pushing their anti-2A agenda.[10,11] "The most dangerous place in America is a gun free zone (schools) because only law-abiding people will respect the rules that govern it."[12]

The Pledge endorsers supported the Brady Campaign's (leading U.S.' anti-gun group) application for NGO (non-governmental organization) status in the United Nations (UN). For decades the UN has been trying to destroy our 2A and sovereignty through international resolutions and treaties and approved a coalition of anti-gun NGOs, International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA.org), to exert global pressure for this cause.[13]

This anti-2A movement is so far reaching that the major media (ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, etc.) use their influence to promote The Pledge with lies helping the medical, legal and school organizations achieve their ends.[14]

Our children in Horry County, and throughout the United States are being used as pawns and targets. Pawns for the eventual demise of our Second Amendment and targets for any terrorist or crazy wanting to make a violent statement. What is even more horrendous is the fact that the medical, legal, and school organizations are willing to sacrifice our children's lives to push their anti-2A agenda. They aren't interested in the facts just the irrational emotional response against the Second Amendment.

Your tax dollars are paying for groups of people from the Federal Attorney General's office to educate your children about "gun violence" and the laws. Your tax dollars are paying for groups of people from the State Attorney General's office to educate your children about "gun violence" and the laws. Your tax dollars are paying the Sheriff's department to have a resident officer in the schools to preach about the "gun violence" and the law. Your tax dollars are paying for the government employees, principals, teachers, etc. to brainwash your children against the Second Amendment. None of these people are experts in the true ramifications of school and gun violence because if they were they would see that The Pledge is a Trojan Horse to indoctrinate our children against the right to self-defense and the RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS. Keep in mind when reading this report: If it walks like a duck, sounds like a duck, looks like a duck, swims like a duck, It Is A Duck! The Pledge is a subversion using your children as the victims.
