The Pledge Resolution
S.R.282 (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?r104:S24JY6-783:)
MUST BE RESCINDED. Our tax dollars are paying for a program that is subverting
our children against guns, the Second Amendment, and their right to have an
avenue to use self defense. The Pledge Resolution is based on a fallacy and
a "health model of violence" and a non existent problem.
Keep in mind when reading this report:
• If it walks like a duck, sounds like a duck, looks like a duck, swims like a duck, It Is A Duck!
• The senators who voted to pass the were the most anti-Second Amendment (anti-gun/anti-rights) senators in U.S. history.
• Former President Clinton the most anti-2A president in U.S. history and his wife Hillary (who now is a U.S. senator, D-NY), backed the Pledge and helped it to become instituted.
• Almost all the original Pledge endorsers are known anti-gun groups.
• 99% of the current Pledge endorsers are known anti-gun groups.
• Not one pro-gun group endorses the Pledge.
THE PLEDGE
On 10/27/04, "LMS students sign anti-gun Pledge" (http://zwire.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=13252091)
which took place at the Loris Middle School in Loris, South Carolina. This report
exposes the anti-gun/anti-rights agenda of the Pledge used to brainwash our
children.
Children across America are being used as pawns for anti-gun groups. Since 1996,
10 million American children have signed the following Pledge (Pledge.org/Pledges/Pledge_older.html):
Student Pledge Against Gun Violence
• I will never bring a gun to school;
• I will never use a gun to settle a dispute;
• I will use my influence with my friends to keep them from using guns to settle disputes;
• My individual choices and actions, when multiplied by those of young people throughout the country, will make a difference;
• Together, by honoring the Pledge, we can reverse the violence and grow up in safety.
Your tax dollars are
supporting the machinery to propagate this farce. The Pledge program uses a
"public health" fraud and a fake premise of "runaway gun violence" in schools
to push their agenda. Anti-gun activists use the Pledge as a Trojan Horse to
brainwash children against the human right guaranteed by our Second Amendment.
After students are introduced to the Pledge (the window that is being used by
the anti-2A people), in school, which is inclusive of actually signing a pledge
form, having discussions about how bad guns are, and the piece de resistance
is that self-defense is wrong. This is not about violence this is about a program
of brainwashing!
Even in our little town of Loris, the harm of this "public health" fraud has
crept into the classroom through health books used in grades 6-8. I personally
reviewed the health books used in Loris Middle School (and other health books
used in South Carolina), and it was impossible to mistake the persistent anti-gun
message. Moreover, NOT ONE of the schoolbooks reviewed used source references
or footnotes for readers to verify the authors' claims.
Outside our town the most prolific health book that is pushing this anti-2A
agenda is the Meeks-Heit Health books that are not only used nationally but
internationally and they have included in their teaching manuals their distorted
and biased view of guns and anti-2A views, and their denigration of self-defense
and anti-American ideas (using a global model superseding parental and individualistic
