If
you are in Horry County, and your want a Class III weapon, you
will now be able to get your sign-offs done. The Sheriff's Department
(because of Sheriff Philip E. Thompson and Deputy Lieutenant Paul
Butler - who are both pro-Second Amendment) have put a system
together whereby, they can maintain that you are legal to own
said weaponry and expedite the forms quickly. To top that one
they are going to go to the Sheriff' Conference this summer and
try to get other sheriff's to understand the process so other
residents in South Carolina will also be able to expedite their
weaponry requests.
I have been in working with the Sheriff and Paul Butler since
March of 2005 on getting the sign-offs expedited for Horry County
residents. Our thanks go to the Horrry Country Sheriff's Department
for:
1. Resolving this problem for their citizens
2. Working out a system so the bad guys don't get the weapons
3. Being Pro-Second Amendment and showing it not in just words
but in actions
For
Horry County residents, specifically, you will be able to call
the main number 915-5450 and ask for Rick Thompson. He will be
heading up all Class III requests, sign-offs, and checks.
A
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHERIFF PHILIP E. THOMPSON:
SHERIFF PHILIP E. THOMPSON is an elected official. I wish
for you to remember his name when it comes time to use the ballot
box. I have met with this man many times and his character is
impeccable and beyond reproach. His passion for doing right by
the 2A is right there also. He deserves to be voted back in as
many times as he wishes to run. If all our elected officials had
the SHERIFF PHILIP E. THOMPSON'S mindset crime would be
a thing of the past and our first line of defense, our citizens,
would have all the weaponry they desired.
