LORIS INFORMATION
|
On October
3, 2005 my wife and I and possibly some other guest speakers are going
to be address the Loris City Council. Items on our agenda to speak about
are: |
Information
below was taken directly from the sites noted. There seems to be slight irregularities
in population census, etc. but the one item that keeps surfacing is the crime
problem in Loris Town
proper needs addressing, NOW.
|
We know that most people in Loris already own guns (just as it was a known fact that citizens of Kennesaw OWNED GUNS). But that is not enough to make a community safe. By promoting the Safety Ordinances we are trying to create an awareness of defense, a sense of responsibility towards the community, and a preventative against crime. We know that these ordinances are a proven working model, as seen in Kennesaw (and other communities). |
| YOU ASKED
ABOUT LORIS' LOCAL (within the city's limits) RETAIL GUN BUSINESSES AND
HOW THEY WERE SUPPORTING THIS MEASURE This tidbit of information has been enclosed as a "dishonorable mention" |

*Numbers only reflect reported crimes within the city limits-Town Proper of Loris. (Just for your own edification, our state, South Carolina) is #3 in the nation for crime and is not getting any better; confirmed by SLED 04/30/05). These numbers in this particular table, compared to the population size in the Town of Loris Proper, are horrendous. A system of containment does not work, one must proactively seek another solution, hence forth, the Kennesaw Ordinance. **Kennesaw Georgia with 8X the population was far below the national average for the same crimes, TODAY. |

In fact, South Carolina, being the third highest crime-ridden state in the nation in 2003, Loris even exceeded the states' rise in crime index for that year. South Carolina Loris

DO YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE YOU ARE BEING TOLD THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH, AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH ABOUT CRIME? Patrick Word, vice chairman of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Gang Investigators Network, a group that helps collect data for the Justice Department. Nearly 20,000 state and local police agencies were contacted to participate in the National Gang Threat Assessment report, but only 455 provided information, said a federal law enforcement official who asked not to be identified to avoid future conflicts with local police in obtaining information. The report did not specify which agencies did not participate, so they could not be contacted for comment. "A lot of this (reluctance to cooperate) is coming from elected officials who are saying, 'We don't want to get our citizens running scared,' " Word said. Have you been told about the unbelievable increase in gang crime in South Carolina and how it is spreading like a cancer to rural suburbia, and targeting particular cities with less than 200,000 population? |

5/10/05 6/3/05 Public Safety Committee meeting set for June 7, 2005 @ 19:00 Hrs. In attendance for the committee will be the Mayor David Stoudemire, Chairman Mike Suggs, Member Thessalonia Graham, Member Estelle Wright, and the city's attorney (Mr. Padgett). 6/7/05 Public Safety Committee meeting: in attendance for the committee was the Mayor David Stoudemire, Chairman Mike Suggs, Member Estelle Wright, and the city's attorney (Mr. Padgett). I was given 30 minutes to explain what I was trying to accomplish. The committee members were polite and honest and will do some research on what I was proposing. I didn't have some information that they needed so I will have to research the necessary items and submit them. I felt the meeting was fair and honest and am hoping for a positive decision. I found some blatant anti-gun errors on the Loris Police Department site which Mr. Padgett said were not malicious but were placed there probably due to misinformation. I will be submitting the proper referenced information to correct those errors. By this afternoon those corrections will be on this site for your perusal. I strongly suggest to the others that are trying to initiate these ordinances to please check your local police departments website so all errors, misinformation, or whatever can be addressed in your presentations. Mr. Padgett brought out the fact the the Castle Doctrine and force-to-force was a state initiated legislative action. I tried to connect the Doctrine to the Safety Ordinance. I don't know if it will legally fly but we will see. I want to thank my wife for her support in being there and great note taking.

Now we put out flyers to the businesses and try to get them involved and in-turn the Loris residents that go to to their establishments. If this doesn't work then the residents and the business owners will reap what they sow. All one can do is show the truth you can't force people to act on it, Neal |

County: A NOTE ABOUT
THE HORRY COUNTY COUNCIL AND THE HORRY COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE:
THESE ARE THE MOST CORRUPT LEGISLATORS I HAVE HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF MEETING.
TO PROTECT THEIR SPECIAL INTERESTS (WHICH IS MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE OF THE
CITIZEN'S INTERESTS) THEY PERVERTED AND DISTORTED THE TRUTH AND THEN AT
THEIR FULL COUNCIL MEETING LIED AND DID NOT REVIEW THE PERTINENT MATERIALS.
